Recent Games
The Mustangs have faced 4 out of the top 6 Atom-C teams in the province over the last 5 games and although they have not always came out on the winning side, none of the games were ever out of reach. All but one loss would have been by a single goal if not for empty netters at the end.
The girls have went 1-4 in their last five falling to Stratford twice; Mitchell once; & Huron Heat once. All of which were provincial playdown games.
The Mustangs then travelled to Owen Sound last Saturday and defeated the host team 4-2. This was a team that had handed the girls one of their worst losses of the season back in the fall. This goes to show their tremendous growth over the course of the season. Alyssa (2); Jayla; & Thea were the goal scorers for Upper Maitland in the win.
The girls still have 2 remaining league games and 4 remaining playdown games (in addition to their year end league tournament scheduled for Mar 22nd-24th).
