The Regular Season Ends
The Mustangs finished their regular season strongly with 3 more wins-extending their win streak to 5 heading into the playoffs.
The girls hosted a strong Huron Heat team Sun Mar 3rd and won 2-0. Solid defense was the key to this victory.
The Mustangs were then faced with adversity when they hosted South Huron Thurs Mar 7th with only 8 skaters due to player illness. Kailyn helped her team in net without having played the position in over a year (or with any prior practice). The girls all worked together to overcome it, pulling out a 4-3 win.
The girls then finished their last regular season game Sat Mar 9th with a 1-0 win over Wingham (also at home).
They now hope to carry the momentum into their playoff tournament this coming weekend. The Mustangs will host both Woolwich & Mitchell this week in exhibition play to give them some added preparation. Let's go Mustangs!
