U11 - C, 2021-2022 (Upper Maitland Mustangs)

Rylee buries a rebound from Katie while Maddy also drives hard to the goal.  The Mustangs closed out their regular season with a 5-0 win over TCDMHA Rebels in Keady on March 19th.  The Mustangs next take on the Parents on March 24 while they await the end-of-year tournament on the weekend of April 1-3.  

The girls put in some strong defensive efforts in the Mitchell tournament and came away with two shutouts to close out the round robin.  Unfortunately, even with a record of 1-1-1 the team was unable to advance to the final.  After losing a 4-0 decision to Mitchell, the Mustangs defeated Stratford 2-0 on goals from Madi and Claire.  The girls closed out the tournament with a 0-0 tie against their familiar rivals, Kincardine.  Great work, ladies.  

We will be taking a break until our next scheduled practice on Thursday, Dec. 30.  

The Mustangs overcame the Huron Heat (...and 7:30 am start time) for a 2-0 win in the semi-finals today.  Unfortunately, they were unable to overcome the Mitchell Meteors in the Pink-on-the-Rink final as they lost 2-0 in a hard fought game.  We are all very proud of how this team has come together over the last few days.  Great work girls! A big thank-you to the organizers of this tournament on such a well-run event.  

The Mustangs rode a 3-game winning streak to finish the round robin portion of the Pink on the Rink tournament in second place.  Ayda, Paige and Claire added their names to growing list of goal scorers for the team.  Meanwhile, the defensive corps of TeAnna, Grace and the two Sophies have been anchoring the team on the back end.  Kennedy recorded her first shut out of the season against the St. Marys Rock.
