U13 (Upper Maitland Mustangs)

     The Mustangs took part in the annual South Huron-Pink On The Rink Tournament this past weekend.  The girls finished 2-1 in pool play defeating Lucan 2-0 before losing to Central Perth 3-2 on Friday afternoon.  The Mustangs bounced back Saturday morning with a 2-0 win over Huron Heat but then gave up a late goal in the 1/4 Final in a 1-0 loss to Mitchell Saturday afternoon.  The girls played great and had a lot of laughs along the way.  The improvement in play is noticeable girls, keep it up!

The Mustangs travelled to Mildmay last night to kick off their regular season and skated to a 3-3 tie against host South Bruce.  Melody began the scoring (assisted by Peyton); Rylee added one (from Sophie J & Fiona); and finally Madilyn (from Fiona).  Great job girls!  

1) Regular ice times will be Wed @ 8 pm in Howick & Sat rotating 4/5/6 pm in Wallace 2) Pictures will be Thurs Oct 27th @ 6:30 pm @ Howick Arena 3) WOAA scheduling meeting is Wed Oct 5th so we will know shortly after that when games will take place for the 1st half of the season 4)  Right now there are 2 Groups of 5 teams for U13 and we will play: Wingham, South Bruce, Walkerton & Mount Forest.  Some are HL & some C-after Christmas they will re-seed based on game results 5) There will be a $50/player fee (to cover ref fees) that will replace regular door fees for this year.
