Regular Season Game #8
Saturday the Mustangs hosted Saugeen Shores in Wallace and came away with a 3-1 victory. After a scoreless 1st, Isabelle opened the scoring @ 5:07 of the 2nd frame (assisted by Hanna).
Jayla scored @ 9:57 of the 3rd period (assisted by Alyssa & Zayden). Alyssa then potted the insurance goal @ 1:18 of the 3rd to put the game out of reach (assisted by Zayden).
Allie made some excellent saves cutting down shot angles from the top of her crease. Defenders Katrina & Kailyn both had excellent games containing opponents and even carrying the puck into the offensive zone. Wingers Thea; Chloe; & Lucy all pressured opponents to take back the puck and back-checked in their own zone to take away scoring chances.
Great work girls! We knew you could play better than we have of late.
